I think his stuff looks very interesting but unless I find a way to magically pull multiple wads of $100 bills from my butt there's no way I'd pay that much.

Suskis wrote:fact: in USA you can buy a real gun for a fraction of the price of this puzzle. and use it immediately.
it can be labelled as "bad taste" maybe... it surprised me nevertheless
No, no you can't, unless you do so illegally, which you can do in any country.

You have to pass a firearm eligibility check. By federal law that is required in every state now. Then you have to complete a background check. Combined, they take at least 8 days, if you are fast-tracked (e.g., already own a gun).

On the other hand, you can receive a gun as a gift without any of the above hassles. :\

I believe that "gifting" transaction must be made with the local sheriff's dept.

firearm collecting is yet another of my many facets...
a "gift" can only be given (illinois)..from one FOID card owner to another with all the proper paperwork filled out...if a firearm is given to someone without a FOID card the ramafications of improper use go onthe head of the person the firearm is registered to at the time.
i have a friend who owns a SAW and several other high power full auto machineguns.these require a federal firearms license...big $$$...
I personally love the shooting sports and hate gun control advocates as the only people who wont have guns will be the law abiding citizens..the criminals will still have them no matter what..period...if you can pull the trigger on another human being in any situation besides a life threatening one..your a psychopath..period.

FOID=firearm owner identification

this is a picture that got alot of negative feedback.

Cornette: I was assuming FOID holders on both ends. You also have to transfer the registration. However, you can have the transaction happen instantly for the recipient as a result.

I'm fine with guns, it's bullets that I think need controlled

Really though, I don't see a need for people to own guns. I don't buy the "if nobody can have guns, only criminals will have them" nonsense. If someone has a gun, you usually are not going to have time to pull a gun yourself and set it on them in retaliation. And if they were going to shoot you, and you do go to do that, they're going to shoot you. They aren't going to wait for you to get the gun pointed at them so you can have a badboys made for TV movie moment where you all set the gun down calmly.

I grew up with guns. I know how to disarm someone with a gun. In the years I have lived in the city, I have had a gun pointed at me once. Most people I know have never had a gun pointed at them. However, I walk through a few "bad areas" from time to time, because I'm either stupid or not scared, never really sure which. One of those areas is right downtown, where all the busses go. It has been cleaned up a lot in the last few years. However, two years ago, I was walking across the street, and this gangbanger kid has a handgun, he's crossing from the other side. Each person he comes across, he pulls up his gun, sticks it in their face and screams, "BOOM!" and starts laughing hysterically. Cops are on both sides of the street. He gets up to me, gun comes up in my face. I'm tired of seeing it, I've seen it done to five people before me, each one crapping their pants in fear and begging for the life, the kid laughing hysterically. He sticks it in my face, I reach up, grab it, pushing up to the sky, rip it out of his hands, and cold cocked him up backside the head with it. One smooth movement, no stopping. Little **** crumples to the ground. I walk across the street, stick the gun in the officer's hand and say, "Here, I believe this is evidence for you. If you don't mind, I'm leaving now." Take two steps up to the bus parked at the of street, get in, and tell the driver, "Get me out of here." And off we go. Kid still laying in the middle of the road, out cold. I was shaking so bad after that, but totally calm through it.

Needless to say, **** little kids and their need for guns. Anyone who thinks they are safer holding a gun is full of crap. They have neither the training or the balls to stay calm in a situation and pull the trigger if they need to.

Anyone that thinks they need a gun to be safe is a fool. The only thing you need to know how to do is control people whose tiny gonads get in the way of their mental processes and make them think they need a gun.

The only reason to have any gun is if you go out and hunt. And you sure as hell do not need a hand gun to go hunting.

i totally agree...if bullets where $2,000 a piece ....
i do not use my firearms for defense....i am with you on that.
i love the shooting sports.
personally a 'hands on' approach to self defense is much more 'satisfying'
i have also disarmed a few aggresors in my time...knives and guns...
my favorite one was a shotgun in west virginia....man i was crappin' my pants inside, but i disarmed the drunkin' fool. he pointed it at my 8 month pregnant wife and the result was instant and instinctual....he almost broke my hand as i had the barrel in my hand and he pulled the trigger.
i proceeded to hospitalize him with my bare hands.
point being ,i think we are on the same page.
but i do believe that gun control will not take the weapons out of the hands of the high end criminals...thats my view.

the hand gun issue you raise is interesting...i really like shooting paper targets at the range with my Glock...its just fun..i would never pull on a human being...your experience was bad...but if you went with me to the range i think you would have fun. :D

oh and as an afterthought...you could light off the cannon...now thats big fun :D
i love my cannons ;)

Of course not, but high end criminals are not the petty thugs you and I have to worry about. And if you get in a situation with them, you don't want to have a gun as they will shoot you and not think about it.

Oh, I know how to shoot one. And I do think it is fun to shoot in an action range, but I do not think I have to own the gun to be able to shoot one at the range. Get to the range, rent a gun on site. Hell, that means you can play with guns you normally would never get to try out, and some that you wouldn't even be allowed to own.
