Replacement pins / spring

Post by sjmh »

Hi there,

How does one go about getting a replacement spring and pin set? I had a solved Blue sitting around, trying to find time to clean it before I put it back together and had the pins in a little baggie.

Unfortunately, the girlfriend didn't realize the pins and spring were in that and thought it was trash ( to her credit, I'm not exactly the cleanest person :P ). I'd like to be able to let some of my colleagues try their hand at the maze and get them hooked as well.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks.

Steve

Seen as you are in USA, your best bet is sending a quick PM to cornettracing80

If cornett doesn't get around to responding, you also might be able to buy a replacement pin and spring from McMaster-Carr. http://www.mcmaster.com/#

Only thing you would have to make sure and do is figure out what size the pin and spring are. The only problem I see with the springs on McMaster-Carr is that they are sold overlength and you would have to cut them to size. Smallest length is 1 inch. And the pins aren't tapered on the end.

Oh nevermind, you'd end up having to do a little bit of machining to get them just right.

But it was worth a shot :p
