When I was a kid, when the family was butchering an animal, my Uncle used to give us the cow eyeballs to play with. They were fun because they would bounce like rubber balls. The downfall was when they popped we would squeal in disgust as goo oozed out. It was also fun to try and convince someone else to put one in their mouth. Or to put one in your own mouth, walk up, tap someone on the shoulder, smile, and have the eyeball showing from inside so you were three eyed. -- Yes, Uncle did clean them up and wash them off.

I am sure we are all mad cows by now.

P.S.: Sheep eyes don't work as well.

I dunno, I'm still a fan of the fact that my mother and her brothers and sisters used to have an old wind-up telephone in their garage. The type of phone you would spin the crank on, to generate electricity, that would notify the operator that you wanted to make a call. They used to take the bare ends, after it was disconnected, and have one kid on each end hold it, while another spun the crank as fast as he or she could -- all to see who would let go first.... Electrifying!

cornettracing80: one of my favorites is fish cheeks, they're super-tasty. :) So are venison, elk, and pork cheeks.
