How many times can a Revomaze be opened?

Hey guys,
I'm quite new to the revomaze universe and I'm looking to buy my first one, which has already been used. I came to wonder how many times a revomaze can be opened? Does it need restoration or some new pins/springs over time?

I hope some of you can help me with this question

Il i take my bronze extreme for exemple : more than 50 time open now and it still works fine But in the event that the spring would not do the job anymore I would ask Chris Pitt for a replacement and I'm sure he would send one but I don't see a maze that would be not playable after some use

I opened silver about 5 time and no problem there either

I can tell you a lot of engineering goes into making the mazes robust. Their durability is one of their attractions for me. With used mazes, however, one must consider abuse. Dropping a maze will do more damage than a respectful puzzler could ever do. I would ask if the maze is fully functional and works smoothly. I personally have no problem buying used mazes to play with or to pass along as gifts.

My blue has now been opened over 100 times and i saw a blue with over 500 times...and they still work perfect....for sure the plating is gone on my ramps and my friends maze is close to be pure brass...but who cares.

How often a maze may be opened without serious damage depends on the user.
As Orko said, the plating peels of eventually.
After opening just remove the flakes and everything is ok.
I've opened blue very often and also bronze.
Both still work perfectly.
I've done some modifications to silver and afterwards opened it about 30 times without problems.
Gold and Orange also have been used a lot.
