You'll be surprised! No complicated parts but very "elegant mechanism" (to borrow the phrase from another puzzler) and it has stumped even very experienced puzzlers, some of whom are forum members here.Mrhero wrote:Well, the first box is kinda expensive i wont buy it if it doesnt have a great mechanism and mind blowing parts . I bought the revo's because of these criterias.

I already have the First Box!jerryloo71 wrote:If you are looking for a heavy duty SD puzzle that won't break easily and won't break the bank, go for the First Box. I don't know if parts swelled up or what but even without the broken part, part of it won't close.
Hmmm, which part did exactly brake??

Where can I purchase the Houdini Torture cell?AFKAN wrote:Agree it's a great puzzle but it didn't quite have the same feeling that the Houdini's Torture Cell did
Looks like Mr. Puzzle is out of stock on these.

AFAIK they are no longer being made. Last year Brian found some leftover tubing and made the last batch. I would guess you will only see them sold privately now. Just last week one sold at auction for $150. Quite the jump from $40.y2khappens wrote: Where can I purchase the Houdini Torture cell?

i like the well so far. i found some neat looking tools and now i have to find the next step. i had some problems with one tool since it required some force to get (i think well solvers will know what i mean ), and also im able to do something cool but without using an "elegant" method.
Mr. tube guy, why dont you let me spin you ?

Re: "A Plugged Well" by Mr. Puzzle
Just opened my Plugged Well with the help of pliers.
The last part was swelled up and wouldn't budge by
hand. Another internal part wouldn't return to the
normal position because of swelled wood. For a
fairly expensive puzzle, it was disappointing that it
didn't work smoothly. At least no broken parts.

You should have emailed Brian. He helped me fix mine that was stuck due to the wood shrinking.y2khappens wrote:Just opened my Plugged Well with the help of pliers.
