Re: Revomasters Maze History Collection
Can anyone give some info on the "history documents" that are included if you buy the rights to bid? Are these documents meant to be available for those of us that aren't bidding or are we going to have to pay the auction fee to get them...would the info be worth the money paid even if one wouldn't want to make a bid on the items?

Re: Revomasters Maze History Collection
The document lists all mazes in the collection with a description of what is special about it.
It also has pictures of these mazes.
Together these are spoilers if the reader hasn't open the maze.
The most accurate description is about revomaze 1, it tells the story about the invention.
I hope CE set owners will get as much information about the 6 mazes in the set.

Re: Revomasters Maze History Collection
I went ahead and spent the $16+. I dont intend to bid, but I wanted the documentation, the history, the story from Chris. Since I wont be bidding my 10GBP goes back into my account as a credit until the end of November and as a Mercury member I'll be spending those funds anyway.Dorothea wrote:The document lists all mazes in the collection with a description of what is special about it. Re: Revomasters Maze History Collection
From what I can tell, certain cores in the pictures appear to be lacking other "parts" that would be needed to assemble the maze with a sleeve. Would those parts be included and/or attached to the core (if possible)?

Re: Revomasters Maze History Collection
I would assume so. But they probably won't stick to the puzzle with out a core.
Re: Revomasters Maze History Collection
I wouldn't assume that. My impression is that unless otherwise specified in the description, these are just the cores. The exceptions are RevoMaze1 and the Purple which are fully functioning puzzles. Only three others have anything other than the core included. I'm not mentioning which since it could be a spoiler to some.
Could the other items be included? Only Chris and Sophie could answer that. I wouldn't be surprised if they charged extra for anything other than the cores.

That is what he saidReVoMaster wrote:The Collection is mainly for the cores (except the Purple and my Handmade Original) as these are the history. I could sort out some sleeves but the bidding is for what is on the list.
Hope this helps

Re: Revomasters Maze History Collection
I'm not sure Chris answered the question fully enough. For some cores all you need is the appropriate sleeve with the correct pin and spring to have a functioning revomaze. Supplying these should be easy enough even if he has to make a few. For other cores this won't be enough to make them functional. You should double check with Chris and Sophie to make sure they have what's needed for these cores. Maybe they do, maybe they don't, maybe something needs to be manufactured. It's best to check with them about the specifics.
With regards to the document describing each item, it's very nice and does include some history. I would hope the CE booklet will have more than this. I was hoping to hear more about the inspiration for each maze and the various versions and design challanges involved. He covered some of this with the blue, green, bronze and titanium. I think the silver and gold need more details and depth. I hope the gold algorithm is fully covered in the CE booklet which is still something of a mystery. I was hoping he'd review and describe the various hints that he gave us for some puzzles, some of which I never found or understood. He might also specify which parts of the puzzles received names and why he choose them. Things like this aren't needed in the auction description but I hope will be in the CE documentation.
