I found it at the hanayamatoys.co.jp website. It's all Japanese, but it seems to be a new one. Not sure how one would purchase it at this time. Looks nice.

I don't think that was a original Hanayama design? Seen that puzzle before being entered in the IPP competition and it was designed and sold by someone else.

Yes, you're right Will. The design was submitted in 2010, you can see all the entries here.

Someone will correct me if i'm wrong, but im guessing the design has been sold to Hanayama now or they've at least been given permission to mass produce it.

...I'd expect so - they're pretty good about designers' rights ... [if they didn't I don't think folks like Wil would do nearly as much business with them!]

And here is the Cast Harmony at Hanayamas page:

http://www.castpuzzle.net/cgi-bin/lineu ... %20HARMONY

And after translated (babylon):
"G CLEF" and "8th intertwined and the like playing music. At first glance, I don't think the puzzles and design, the beautiful and enjoyable feeling to me. The theme of the play." Russian Dmitry Kirill Grebnev Pevnitskiy and the design.
So this puzzle has the severity 2/6.

I found it quite amusing to see the original version of this puzzle by Kirill Grebnev before Dmitry Pevnitsky changed the design to look like a treble clef:

I never would've noticed it to be the same puzzle, but then disentanglements really are not my forte.
