I can't speak for all of them in terms of their solutions, but I really do recommend Sly Burr!

I even wrote about it here: Sly Burr (Frank Potts) - Oli's Mechanical Puzzle Blog

TheWaddler wrote:Just found Mr Puzzle!!! oh dear, not more puzzle i really shouldn't afford :?

So far i've limited my list to:

Free Pause
Sly Burr
The Windmill Burr

EDIT: and:

Decemburr
Mega Six

(got a thing about Burrs atm, can you tell!!!)

Anyone have any of these and/or recommend any more.
Free pause- an odd puzzle, not my favourite but still a challenge
Sly Burr- awesome puzzle^^^^like Oli says
The Windmill Burr .............. I've taken it apart twice and both times reassembled it with the help of Burrtools.
I still like this puzzle but its MASSIVE. I would say a good choice and they are now very limited!
Decemburr- I love this puzzle! Craftmans range moves so well with a great solve, another great choice.
I don't have Mega Six.

Enjoy them and you really need to get to MPP.

thanks for your opinions Ali, much appreciated.

I did notice The Windmill was a biggun, shouldn't bother me too much i don't think, and i'd like to try and figure it out without the BurrTools  Apparently they had 4 left at the end of august, but i just bought puzzles off Wil so i can't afford one until the 21st, when i get paid (or the world ends!!). so im hoping they'll still have some left then :?

yeah, im looking to get the craftmans decemburr and mega six ;)

.... and yes, i know i need to get to a MPP, we'll see, we'll see ;)

While you are putting in a Mr Puzzle order, you might want to get a copy of "Symmetrick" ( allard reviewed it in his blog: http://allardspuzzlingtimes.blogspot.co ... trick.html )

Also, "Octet in F" is a nice tray packing puzzle , and a Stewart Coffin original...
Mr Puzzle are selling off a few of the ones he made for IPP this year.

Agreed! Symmetric is a brilliant little puzzle! I've taken to carrying a copy of it around with me so that I can give an example of what kind of puzzles I'm interested in. Otherwise everyone thinks I just like Rubik's Cubes.

A nice sod or a frustrating sod? ;)

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll have a gander.

Any of you other ol' blighty folk had trouble with Customs Duty being charged on your package? Brian mentioned it in his email cos I'm placing a rather large order. He said he could post differently, but would that be risky??

How nice of him to send you a christmas gift! What is the risk in that?
It would be a bit late for Christmas though...
