Cubic Dissection / Stickman auction!
Re: Puzzle Paradise auction!
No I know that, just auction sniping takes the actual element of an auction out of it, makes it whoever bids last not whoever bids the highest. Like at live auctions there isn't a countdown and whomever yells their bid last wins... I know sniping is all over ebay just didn't know if people would still play that way on these puzzles. I feel like its somewhat screwing Robert out of better profits.

Re: Puzzle Paradise auction!
The auction will go to whoever bids the highest. I'd recommend you bid whatever amount is the highest that you'd pay for it. If you try to win an auction by bidding at the last second then you'll be disappointed. When it comes to Stickman puzzles, there are many collectors out there with very deep pockets. These don't come up very often ...
Why the $100 starting price. That was the price Stickman placed on the puzzle to start the auction.

Re: Puzzle Paradise auction!
I agree with you Neil, I guess thats my question, is where are these collectors? Some of the auctions are sub 300 still. Are they waiting around until the last day / hour / minutes? I have placed my max bids and am watching fervently to see if Im still in the lead.

Re: Puzzle Paradise auction!
The collectors will be bidding at the last minute. Auction sniping is real on any site that allows it. There is a reason I prefer online auctions that either add hours or days if bids are made at the last minute.

Re: Puzzle Paradise auction!
I assume this is a non-sniping auction (at least the usual cubic dissection auctions are non-sniping)...

Re: Puzzle Paradise auction!
If it does not follow the usual Cubic rules, you must also remember that all lots finish at exactly the same time so snipe bidding is almost impossible.
This also means that if you get out bid along the way, what ever you were prepared to spend you can use to go on another. IE increase the bid on remaining puzzles you are winning.
Good luck! I hope you get to own at least one Stickman

Re: Puzzle Paradise auction!
Just put in your max bid as $10,000 on each puzzle. I can guarantee that you will probably win all but one of them, and you might even win that one. See! Keeping it easy.

Re: Puzzle Paradise auction!

There's this "Anti-Snipe" feature implemented so that if you try to bid in the last minute, or even in the last few days, the end time extends by hours. Fair race here.

Oops. I forgot that we were talking about Cubic rather than Paradise.
