Has anyone brought any Revomazes from puzzle master?
Ive noticed the Silvers are still in stock but ship from Canada. They work out at £120 including shipping but will I get slapped with an import tax with this on top?

Re: Puzzle master
Being from Canada, I have purchased several from PuzzleMaster - excellent shipping etc.
Kind of a shame for them to have to go back over the pond and vatted

Re: Puzzle master
Thats what im worried about. I dont fancy buying 1, then getting hit with a big import charge and a post office charge on top.
Its annoying that there made over here and the only 1s readily available are over there
Ive been searching all puzzle websites based in the UK and theres nothing...

Re: Puzzle master
I've recieved quite a bit of stuff from Puzzle Master in the past, and I've never been caught with any import charges as of yet. They are a great shop with great service.
Shipping is obviously expensive though, unless you go for the 'over land' option in which case you'll be waiting about 3-4 weeks on average for the delivery (which is what I've always done as I hate paying for shipping).

Re: Puzzle master
Be careful what you order stateside. I've been caught a couple of times recently and the bloke in the post office was saying that they're charging handling fees on pretty much everything currently
(worked out at just over £20)

Re: Puzzle master
Same here. Pretty much everything I've had recently has had either £3 or £4 (yeh, weird that the vat is *always* a nice round number isn't it), with £8 handling fee from Royal Fail. Just to remind me that they handled the last one, they also squashed the box to approximately one third size too - chumps!AFKAN wrote:Be careful what you order stateside. Anyway, I've never had anything from puzzle master which hasn't been caught for import duty.

Re: Puzzle master
I guess it all just comes down to luck of the draw really. In short, always order nationally if you can, otherwise you'll have to roll the dice.

pretty much sums it up, i'd say.Paradox wrote:I guess it all just comes down to luck of the draw really. In short, always order nationally if you can, otherwise you'll have to roll the dice.
i ordered my blob v2 through puzzle master, come to think of it, and that arrived pretty sharp-ish with no external damage and no extra costs.
but as Oli just said, you have to roll the dice ..... do ya feel lucky, punk???

Re: Puzzle master
From pas experience, the first couple of times you get a package from one source you may be ok ... If packages become 'regular' they get flagged and will almost certainly be caught.
Now sending things to work addresses etc can help if that's an option, but sooner or later you'll get hit for import duty.
Now here in the US, Puzzles are exempt from the import tax, so that makes getting things in easier, as long as they are correctly labeled...
