The question is where to start?! Someone mind PMing me about a starting place? Preferably metal?
Are you talking about the First box or about Wils puzzles in general?
In the latter case: it does not matter where you start, at the end of the day you will buy most of them anyway.
If you like beautyful engineering then buy the dovetails, if you prefer more complex puzzles then buy the cylinders and first box, or wait for the Lotus...

Definitely the latter. I always read these posts then get frustrated looking for Wil online (doh!). So, yes, completely starting on his set of puzzles. Buuuuut you're right... i'll probably start just collecting them all! :P

First cylinder it is.

Shipping is rather expensive so im thinking about ordering 2-4? Anything else thats a (x1000) must get?

I approve of your thinking! :D

I'd also recommend these:
  • The new Tritalon puzzle (Just plain, well machined fun)
  • Both of the Aluminium Burrs (Go for the 10 move if you only want one)
  • The new Dovetail Cubes. (Not difficult as puzzles, but really well machined with lovely anodising)
  • First Box (Expensive, but brilliant)

Jerry, if he told you, he'd have to kill you!

Wils CROSS is a must if you are adding to make up shipping!
It's a superb bit of fun.

Yes I was defeated! Great puzzle because we all made progress but did not complete it.

I think we all made exactly the same progress and then got promptly stuck! Very intriguing!
