I have to say that at some point I fully intend own a Berrocal. I wasn't too fussed on them before, but after getting the chance to mess around (for lack of a better phrase) with a few of them in the Puzzle Museum I've become much much more of a fan.
Now odds are that I'll never be able to own the larger and more expensive sculptures like Goliath or Richelieu, but I would like just one in my collection because I appreciate them enough to pay for one. Odds are I'll end up getting a Micro David being that it is the cheapest, but even that won't be for a while given that it is still very expensive, and my puzzle budget isn't actually very big, despite what it may look like.

Yeah ...... right

Many of the puzzles I puzzle over and write about are either on loan (mostly from Ali), or have been donated from very generous fellow puzzlers from around the globe because they know that I will appreciate them, and in many ways that is more important than money to a lot of designers/manufacturers.
You will rarely find a group of people as welcoming and hugely generous as the puzzling community. Even now I get completely surprised by how kind people really can be.
And I'm sure quite a few puzzlers on here would agree too!

I have to agree, they really are amongst the most kind hearted generous people you could care to meet. All in the spirit of a shared love of things designed to make us curse and swear at them!
Incredible really when you think about it.

Ok .. I will fess up .. you did offend me with your previously "pre edited post" and I was the one who reported it.Manifestjp wrote:I hope I haven't offended anyone here who has purchased one of these beautiful works of art. I mean no offence by my comment I just can't personally justify spending over 8 grand on one of these no matter how pretty they are.
Happy puzzling
Think of this this way.
One of your sisters has a baby with a face like a monkeys bum.....
You don't tell her she was a sucker for having it, either because the thing is ugly as a bag full of un -wiped babies bums or because babies are expensive. (in the long run)
How would you like someone to say your a sucker for spending so much money on a bit of ink ?
Which in their eyes might be crap ?
Anyway .. your forgiven .... but watch your step about my "baby" biatch or I will scratch your eyes out.

Haha no worries. Didn't notice it until after my late night post session, sorry. I've already had a couple people say they don't like my tattoos. Even a couple of close friends. But I do these for myself not anyone else. As long as it make me happy the rest is water off a ducks back. Glad we can get along.
