I tried everything and eventually had an idea.

It's a tricky internal though!

I felt it was only good manners to send him a photo of it open. ;)

Not a hope mate. Have got nowhere with it.
Good luck to all with gold. The Washer Cylinder won't help with gold though ;)

I am still waiting for mine to arrive....probably only after Christmas given the festive period. Reading all of the postings here...well, I just can't wait to see and get my hands around it! But given my rather poor track record with the first Cylinder puzzle, I seriously doubt I can get this one to open any time soon or without clues! But never mind...I will give it my best shot!

Well done Ali (and James now?)

Must have fiddled with the prototype for about an hour and got absolutely nowhere! :D

...just discovered that mine is wrapped under the Christmas tree - and not in the Christmas mail black hole as I'd assumed... this is going to be a rather puzzling Christmas!

Well done Ali, respect!

I have been fumbling with the protoype for hours (in between orange and gold) , with not even a slight glimps of a beginning of anything that might ever be interpreted as a tiny bit of progress :?
This is an intriguing puzzle, but a damn hard intriguing one  .
I like revomazes, they provide feedback when you make progress 8-)
