After first finding revomaze through a facebook advert, I did some googling and found these forums. I spent my work day wednesday and yesterday reading them, and decided this little puzzle sounded very me. As I'm going away on saturday for a mini break, I thought this would be the perfect time to buy, so after a quick conversation with emma on the phone, I was told that if I purchased yesterday they would have it dispatched immediately. So yesterday and yesterday night was spent on the royal mail tracking website refreshing the page

It actually arrived this morning at 8am - couldn't be happier. (who says royal mail are rubbish )

Love the product, and after just a day of anticipating this little things arrival, I finally understand what you all mean by 'click' (I'm also beginning to understand what a trap is too ). I know there isn't much substance to this post, but I just wanted to add my testimonial to the forums, to let anyone reading it know that there is one more happy customer.

EDIT: may I also ask, how much pressure should i be applying to the shaft when im pushing it in and out, an analogy would be nice, I really don't want to life in fear of breaking one of the walls

Hi Vatican, and welcome

Don't worry about the content of the post. We all know what it is like to get your hands on your first Revo And if you look around, you'll see not many of us post anything of substance

I can't think of a good analogy, but you shouldn't have to pull or push very hard. Having said that, these thing are pretty darn strong. If you're holding it in one hand, and pulling the shaft with the other, unless you're straining pretty hard or spend all of your time in the gym, I doubt you'll damage it.

I know what you mean though, you end up applying a fair bit of pressure when you're trying to hug those walls looking down at the big nasty trap below

haha, sweet, that makes me feel a lot better. One more question though. Is it generally accepted that you should map these things, or is there a strong feeling in the community a 'simple' puzzle like the blue should be done without mapping? Also, I've definitely found closing my eyes has got me into the groove of moving this thing, is that a standard technique?

Mapping is up to you. I personally don't think you're cheating if you map it, as it is part of the puzzling experience for me. If you can mentally map well, then you can do it without mapping. Closing your eyes is a good technique as you can envisage the maze inside.

If you trawl through the forum you will find various methods of mapping. It's up to you! Have fun!

Awesome, cheers guys. I think I'm not going to look for mapping methods, and when I get past 20 or 30 moves, start mapping and figure it out on my own. Just to test myself ya know? Now to (try to) get some work done .

I did the Blue without mapping. I found it pretty easy because you end up running the starting sections so often that you get to know them inside out

I know I will use mapping in other puzzles. But I think while you can keep it in you head you should. Just another challenge
