...add another vote for the Popplock series - I also arrived a bit late in the day and have only managed to snaffle T2-T5...and they're brilliant!

As AndrusyszynPM says, the only drawback is the price  - Rainer makes them by hand and they're all pretty solid and perfectly machined - some of the tricks are REALLY cleverly hidden...the "Aha!" moment on T5 is just sublime!! :D :D

[you guys really won't regret the Danlocks!!]

I must concur re Danlock. I have models A and B (small additional feature in B) and they are great puzzles. When you know what to do it is a delight to watch others try to crack it (bit like the Revos)
I also have a supercubi 324 which is the grandaddy of Japanese puzzle boxes and is a beautiful piece of design.

Make sure you send an e-mail to Rainer to let him know you like his puzzles so we can increase our chances to acquire a T1 puzzle.

I guess that means that mine will be on the waiting list since I emailed him earlier today to see if he had any. Congrats on the present!

I was actually disappointed with the Gear Cube. While I appreciate the unique mechanism I found the puzzle just too simple and easy to solve. Play with it a little while and it tends to almost solve itself!

Now if you want a really challenging variation of the Rubik's Cube try the Latch Cube. The edge pieces with the arrows on them can only be moved in the direction of the arrows are pointing in.

no offense stet, but that looks too easy. just like the regular cube, only u have to put more effort. if u kno the way to do the regular 3*3*3, this is simple IMO. instead of turning it backwards one, u turn it forward 3 times. seems pretty simple. then of course i never tried it, so i cant say anything. which was my official view on revomazes before i actually got my obsession a month back.

the latch cube is way more complicated than it sounds...
it is a self-bandaging cube (if you've never tried a bandaged cube, they are a PAIN!)

stet, what's your profile on twistypuzzles.com?
:)

Gdamotov77, the Latch Cube is incredibly difficult. I can only think of a few cubic twisty puzzles which are close to it in difficulty. It is the edges not the fixed center pieces that control the one direction movements. Since these edge pieces get moved around while scrambling and solving the puzzle, at any given time you can have some surfaces that can only be moved clockwise, some counterclockwise, some free spinning, and some that can’t move at all.
