I can promise you that they are an amazing company. Actually they are probably the best I have dealt with to date.

If you want to order I would recommend dropping an email to: order@sloyd.fi

I know many of you will already know of this but I think it's definitely worth a mention anyway;

The wooden puzzles made by Vinco in the Czech Republic are some of the best I have seen for the price that they are sold at! I was generously given one of Vinco's "Cube Vinco" puzzles to review by Sloyd (review coming soon ;) ), and even though it is one of his most simple puzzles it is brilliantly made!

I now own three of his puzzles but definitely aim to get a whole load more!

You can buy a variety of them directly from Vinco here:

http://www.vinco.kleinpeter.cz/

Or there's a massive variety available from Puzzle Master (Canada) here:

http://www.puzzlemaster.ca/search/all/?q=vinco&a=149480

***Also, in the interest of full disclosure; I do get a small percentage from Puzzle Master sales referred through my links. Hopefully you guys don't mind that.

The first of my Vinco puzzles arrived today. Cross Box. Looking forward to having a play.

Although I have a few other projects ongoing currently before release of the gold, including the first puzzle I have designed myself. The first prototype is complete (made from Lego) and I'm happy with the results. Just need to transfer it to wood now.

Sounds interesting!

Have you got any pictures of your design, or is it on the hush hush until it's finished? :)

Been a few mentions about Vinco puzzles lately so thought I would post some pics of the 4 Vinco's I have purchased in the last couple of weeks.

Got 'Dual Tetrahedron' & 'Cube Again' direct from the Vinco website and 'Flattrick' and 'Double Desk Box' from sloyd.fi and my dealings with both companies were just fine with quick delivery and both are recommended. When you order from Vinco you get a puzzle that is waxed & polished and also the exact puzzle you see on screen - when ordering from elsewhere I believe you get the 'commercial' cut of the puzzles which are not polished and the wood colours do not necessarily match those you see on the web. The commercial cut versions are still VERY nice though and I am VERY pleased with all my Vinco purchases.

Have not opened Double Desk Box yet but the other 3 all have pretty much the same opening moves which is a 'co-ordinated move' process, although for Flattrick there are 6 pieces that all move at the same time.
Open = Green, Blue, Bronze, Red, Black, Black V2, resting = Silver, started = Gold, ready for when Gold gets too much = Orange.

Also -

Just bought a 'Cryptex' device as well, which although not sold as a puzzle as such is still an object which I believe most of you would be interested in as I think most of us just like 'stuff' that looks and feels good, especially if it looks interesting and just have to pick it up when you see it.

Am really liking it as it has a lovely look and feel to it and is about same size & weight as a trusty Revo Extreme.

Have seen the 'Da-Vinci' cryptex items on Ebay which look OK , especially the large version that comes in a wooden box but is over £150, but this has a slightly different design.

Also the version I bought which you can get on Ebay or direct from the website below, but if from Ebay you pay extra for P&P - also from the website you get the option of buying it without the code resetting tool for £34 which is the option I went for as not too bothered if I can't change the default code (which am glad to say is not just a default '000000' etc but is more meaningful).

Not on any commission or anything, just thought something you would be interested in -

Can't go wrong with that Flattrick Oli - it and the double desk box from Sloyd cost me £72 including delivery from Finland.

Nice chunky puzzle as well - think about 30% bigger than your explosion cube, but still fits nicely in the hand.

It seems that you can't really go wrong with Vinco puzzles in general!

Can I just ask; I know that the internal mechanism of a few Vinco puzzles are the same, which ones out of those have different internals to the Explosion Cube?
