Re: What other puzzles do you recommend?

Post by Gdamatov77 »

Just want to stop by and give my full review of the Perplexus Level 1 now that I have completed it.

First off I want to mention how great the cost is for such a puzzle. Even if the Puzzle were not fun, the cost in itself made it worth it.

Onto the mechanics. When I first set my eyes on this thing, I knew I would love it. Everything is engineered for high quality productivity, and long lasting play. As for the puzzle itself.

It was a great price of work to maneuver, comprehend, and work. As I said, the mechanics of this thing are amazing, but even a greatly manufactured product could still be boring.

I did not think that of this. In every spot, 1-100, I was entertained with a challenge.

Hardest in my opinion was as left027 mentioned earlier, is 76-77. That area is a deathtrap of the puzzle. However, 30-31, 43-44, 62-63, 92-93-94-95, and lastly, 99-100 are quite difficult feats for the first in this series of 3.

There are areas where I just zoom by without a care, but mainly, dexterity is a requirement in this beauty as is the red revomaze.

Lastly I want to mention how the company themselves gives a little humor before you even start the puzzle which had me interested. I look at the box before I opened it, and on the box it says, "start off by looking forthe start which is either 1, 2, or 3. If you can't find it, just back away slowly." that in itself proved to me that they weren't a company interested in just making money, but rather putting a smile on the customer's face as well.

All in all, I rate the Perplexus a 9/10 and definitely recommend purchasing it.

Once again, I would like to thank Manifest and left027 for recommending such an awesome puzzle.

yea, i mentioned my uncomparable impatience for the epic in the post about puzzle collections.

I have 4 puzzles to look towards this year.

Revomazes:

Orange, Gold, and Handmade

Perplexus:

Epic

The Perplexus Rookie will be a snap to me by the time it comes out after i will have so much practice on the original. And these perplexuses will give me the dexterity practice i need for the red revomaze when i get a new one.

At the MPP it was mentioned the Daeloring (http://www.daeloring.com) is hard to get hold of in the UK. In the Netherlands the second one (orange) is reportedly for sale now. I am going after it tomorrow or Saturday.

If anyone wants one (yellow or orange) then let me know.
The shop price is 10 euro (8,5 GBP)
I could send them over or bring them along to the gadgetshow in April.

I wouldn't mind one of each :) If you have PayPal I can transfer the cash... unless you want payment some other way?

no offense, but they seem like a cheap, (very cheap), knock-off of Chris's Revomaze.
