Re: CE delivery status thread

Great to see Goliath! I've been drooling over him for years! I've spent a fortune on puzzles over the last few years but he's out of my price range! :(

I'm really pleased to see the CE sets being sent out, it would be good to know that more than just 1 has been sent!

As for the spring, that will be a spare, they are captive within the sleeve and you only need to insert the extra one if for some reason you lose an original.

Yes he is not cheap that's for sure. There were a few sold during the GFC for much less than usual. But prices seem to have gone up again.

I will be doing a video of the Goliath - one day when I get a bit of time.

Will annotate the video.

I have received my CE just before Easter. It's beautiful, well presented and finished box. I received mine assembled and I've tested the blue and finished the green just mustering up the staying power to start the bronze :)

For those that ordered the CE un-assembled, there seems no way to display the sleeves and cores together in the box that comes with it??

Not sure if I missed some of the conversation on this thread, but is there any solution from Revo HQ for this?

I doubt it Jerry.

I thought I was getting this one originally.

I like the new case better but as you say ... no way to display the cores :(

Nope. There's no alternative, ordered assembled or disassembled.
You might be able to cut some foam like the way it's cut in ezamover's picture then insert it into the box though.

While the second and wooden version looks much nicer than the original one that Chris intended, I think I would still prefer the original if I had ordered the un-assembled version, as it is much more practical for display purposes; all the slots are there, spaced out nicely etc....

But I guess for those who ordered it assembled, then the wooden version would be the better choice.

It must be possible to use this case and have 2 Revos with displayed cores on each row.

I decided to use acryl tubes fitted with working spring and pin systems to display the cores making it possible to show the function of the mazes.
For me there is no need to keep the CEset "perfect" but useless.

Wow, very practical and clever idea. Good protection for the maze core also. Does the acrylic tube work like a real sleeve? Can you play with the Revo?
