Chrome Platting

Post by robbaylis79 »

My chrome platting seems to be going dark grey/ black on the central shaft after only a few days of playing. Is this normal and is it the chrome platting wearing off?

I have tried buffing it with a soft cloth but it doesnt seem to do anything.

Any tips to fix this would be great guys :D

Wipe it off - it's a fine dust from the innards...

It tried and it doesnt come off, I was wondering if it was maybe tarnishing from use. Its definitely not dust

...then use autosol AFTER you've solved it and removed the shaft ... NOT before!!!!! (Serious point - heed it!)

it is just tarnishing. some people make sure they wash their hands every time they start revoing or even wear gloves.

don't worry though, you can polish it right off with some chrome cleaner when its open and make it good as new ;)
