[Paradox]

A couple of new bits and pieces:

I was really lucky and managed to get hold of this copy of Rush Hour from when Thinkfun was still Binary Arts. Plus I payed a grand total of £0.01 for it!

As fun as something like Rush hour is, I can't help but think the electronic version has to be more convenient. Especially with hand held touch screen devices being so prevalent now. Perhaps this is one example of the way technology can change the way we view puzzles?

I still love having a physical puzzle, but that just looks like too much work to setup each time.

Each side of the little cubes has it's own magnetic polarity, so each cube is made up of individual magnetic sides, so it will either attract of repel another cube. So building a 3x3x3 cube could be tricky.

I'm not sure how many solutions there are, but if anyone can find any more info on these I'd definitely appreciate it.

I think there's still a few more going quite cheap on eBay as well if anyone was curious.

Grab a magnet on which you know the polarity, then map out the polarity of the cubes. Label each one ahead of time for each side - 1-6 - and then label them +/-. Then you can annotate here or wherever what there sides are : Die A: 1+, 2-, 3+, 4+, 5-, 6+, Die B: 1+, 2+, 3-, 4-, 5+, 6+.. and so on. From that, with a little math you should be able to solve the number of possible solutions.

Not that bad of a formula, just a bit of advanced topology is all.

Here's a question for you guys;

What do you all think of the layout/design/colour scheme etc. of my blog?

If you wouldn't mind pointing out some things that you do and don't like I'd definitely appreciate the input.

Only thing I'd say is that the dark blue of the links can be hard to read against the dark grey background. It's not a big problem, just a comment.

Other than that the scheme works pretty well. It's all consistent and pulled together with similar colours.

Brilliant! Still easier than the silver, but brilliant nonetheless!
