Painting Arrows

Right, I have a very random off topic question...and I thought why not try asking the collective knowledge of the Revo community and see what happens.

I have a load of arrows that look like this:

And basically I need them to be all black.

The yellow tip at the end isn't a problem as black modelling spray paint covers that nicely, the problem I have is with the red/yellow rubber vanes. Spray paint flakes off too easily since the vanes are flexible, and black marker pen doesn't leave a very even or nice finish.

Anyone have any suggestions please?

Just replace the nock and fletching with black ones.. It's very easy and cheap to do..

This may actually be the cheaper option. That rubber spray is pretty pricey.

This ^^^

Just make sure you do it properly if you're intending on actually using them afterwards??? ;-)

In spite of having dayglo flights on mine and them being gold I still managed to lose one :-(

Ohh archery, my favorite. Hehe, archery is actually my main sport

The best way to do this is to go to your local archery shop and have them replace the knocks and fletchings. Black is a common color and it will be no problem. To have the fletchings properly removed and replaced with new ones can range from $1-$5 per arrow depending on the quality of fletchings and how much the dealer wants to charge you. $3 per arrow is a good price for good arrows and good fletchings. Knocks should not be more than $1 a knock.

Getting these re-fletched will look really nice for what ever purpose you intend to use them for.

Also most of the time, arrows have some logo in the center of the shaft.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT SPRAY PAINT ARROWS. Spray paint will chip off of the arrow, and won't look pretty. It also will never cover the entire arrow smoothly and will affect the flight patterns. Especially carbon arrows. Do not spray paint carbon arrows.

If you have any more archery related questions, just pm me. Im your guy!
