I found a message from organiser Geert regarding DCD 2012.

This year’s Dutch Cube Day (DCD), the 32nd edition, will be organised on Sunday November 4th.
The location is Voorburg, close to the city The Hague in the western part of the Netherlands.

I will be travelling from Birmingham to Amsterdam on the Saturday morning coming back Sunday night. Flights are £99 return. Found a 4 star hotel in Voorburg for £67 for the Saturday night and it is a 35 min train journey from Amsterdam to Voorburg.

Anyone interested?

Don't know as the location wasn't mentioned but I'm sure it will only be a short taxi journey in the worst case scenario. I haven't booked the hotel yet and will discuss it with you at the weekend.

...I'll bring along a copy of the full details on Saturday then... they appeared in the latest CFF about two weeks ago.

I need to speak with the other half to see if I'm free then, but as far as I know I am. Hopefully I'll finally be able to make it this year!

It's a big yes from me.

Wifey says it will make a good birthday present!
(I agree) ;)

Right, so I've been given the go-ahead for DCD! :D

Just need to start looking at flights/accommodation etc. To avoid any days off work I'll be aiming like Nigel for the going on Saturday morning and getting back Sunday evening approach.

Do I need to sort out any kind of registration/invitation bits at all?

It is great to see such a lot of interest and even people confirming! Of course I'll be there too, and I would be happy to help organise anything around the actual cube day event if possible. Let me know (or post here) if there are any specific questions or needs.

I think the exact location was not yet announced (or was it, I don't have the CFF magazine at hand now). I'll go after that and also ask if there is a specific hotel being recommended to foreign visitors, where we are likely to meet other puzzlers before/after the event.

IMPORTANT: if you are not a CFF member you have to ask for a personal invitation. This allows the organisation to keep track of who is coming, and to prevent non-puzzlers from attending. Myself or Allard or Nigel can provide the e-mail address to send your request to (and we can serve as reference if required).

I am already looking forward to seeing you guys in the Netherlands!

Thanks for that Louis! Could someone kindly send me the email address to request an invitation please? :)
