Fashionably late to the party...

Hello all. Some might recognize me from the ISIS forums. I kind of gave up on them when they introduced the subscription thingy.
Just recently someone lent me a Ramisis they couldn't open. So that sent me back to Sonicwarp briefly, and there I learnt about Revomaze.
Ack! This place pretty much answers one of my original "questions" about the ISIS concept - why can't someone put together puzzles like that, but without the treasure hunt concept pushing the cost up? They did. And I didn't know about it...
Before I go spending - are there any "offers" hanging around that might still be valid? Such as buying the whole series at once or anything similar?
Oh, and the Ramisis popped open in just over 3 hours. I haven't tried to disassemble it yet, as I can't register the key, so I am loathe to break somebody else's puzzle without knowing for sure what the next stage instructions are.

cos its up to the 4th one, if you get all 4 im sure chris can probably work out a deal. And there is usually a "pre-order" deal on things which chris is really generous with.
Speak with the main man and break out your bargaining hat.. you never know.

I did email Chris directly, but no reply. It is quite possible it didn't make it, or just got overlooked.
Given the impending VAT regime, I've just ordered Blue+Green, and mailed Chris again with the hope he can take a top-up for the other three and get me a matched serial set.
If not, well, I've got the Blue+Green to get me started

send a quick note to pete (revomate) or catch him on IRC and notify him you want to buy the whole set. you message will get to chris faster. chris is completely focused on getting the new puzzles plated, pieced together, packaged, and sent off.
As for the ramisis, just get the bb to the 'other side' and get the placent a to the same position it was in when the key came out and voila. easier said then done. i can visually see everything is lined up on mine and it still wont come apart...

there was an issue on my ramisis that the locking plate was machined to too close a tolerance..so even when you where ready to open..the plate didnt want to let go....i had to use an automotive dental pick to pull the plate over and unlock the puzzle...its tight.
and fyi....if you "torque" on the layers, you can bend your locking plate...turning it into a spring plate...making it even more difficult to disengage the locking plate.
love that puzzle....you can send pictures of it disassembled to a person with one..and it doesnt help!....thats the bomb!

I would love to take you up on that offer and prove you wrong but I'm determined to do it the old fashioned way.
