RevoStickers

I haven't gotten clearance yet, but I know theres a few of us in the US who would love some stickers. At this point I have 3 questions. What color puzzle body would you like to see on the sticker (please answer by poll), how many do you think you would want, and are you willing to pay for your own stickers? I was looking at $1 a piece, but i think i can get them for more like $.25 each including shipping.
For those of you in the US I can mail them out. For those in the UK and surrounding areas I can send a batch to say, RevoMate for distribution. Please give your input on design and etc. I dont mind fronting the money if there is interest and Chris gives his approval. I want these to be an advertisement type sticker, so that we can enjoy them and increase the size of the RevoFamily!

This sounds great and I'm sure that Chris will want to talk to you about it. I am more than happy for you to send me, say, a few hundred(ish?) for distribution.
I am meeting up with Chris in the next couple of weeks as we need to sit down properly and talk through a lot of things - I'll also put this down on the agenda. Can you send me any details you have on going about this. Eg. figures, times, etc, etc
Cheers,
ReVoMate

If we chose black as the color of choice, theres going to be an issue with seeing details. Do we have anyone who can photgraph or photo-edit a picture of the RevoBlack to make its details stand out? ...volunteers?

You're going to have to do a pretty hard light on a RevoBlack if you want to get any shadows and details off of its surface. Could potentially use a fresnel light or a strong blue LED at an angle to cut across it and make the ridges show. Problem with an LED would be that you would end up with a coloured cast to it -- but, that could also be good depending on the effect you want. Might be fun to do two white LEDs with a red and blue gel coming one from each side, with the picture at an angle.
The problem here, is what type of pose are you looking for on the stickers? How are you wanting to represent the maze?
And :p I don't have a black to even attempt this with, but was just thinking out loud.

No you don't, but I do, and I already owe you a package...
If you want to burn through some SD cards trying to get some great shots of this baby, I'll send it to you...and since you'll have it, you might as well see what the fuss is all about and give it a shot too...

Maybe the color should be based off what choice would best show off the 'features.'

agreed. but if someone thinks they can do that with the black, i'm willing to give it a shot. personnally i like the gold on the cover of our puzzle boxes. I'd keep it just like chris has it. but lets see what you all come up with...

I am a photography geek. Can I do it? Maybe. The lighting and shading for the black would not be easy. That said, the photographs I have seen of Chris's of the Black are really good. I'm still not sure what are you thinking of as a "pose" for the Black that would work on a sticker. Or even what sticker design you are thinking about.
I get a touch of time later this week I'll play with my Blue & Green, and see if I can get a shot that might translate well to the Black. [This depends on me finding time later this week

]
That, and most of my photographs are architecture, landscape, or life (

i'll put my black back together and mail it up to you tomorrow. as for photography, well i'll let you play around with that and hopefully you can grab some ideas from what the rest of the members post here on this thread. when youre done with it, you can just give it back to rene to give to me at thanksgiving. that should hopefully give you plenty of time to get creative, but not so much that it impeads on your holidays too much.
