Just picked GAMES up and read the review yesterday. Some good 'hints' and a couple photos in there for the uninitiated (as well as a great user experience story). Am certain this will drum up some new business. I have a quick review and some photos I'm going to send into ThinkGeek, for their User Review Action Photos section.

I'm an avid collector of Games magazine. I have issues dating back to 1979, and most of the 1980s to present day. It's a hoot going back and reading the advertisements for Atari/ Intellivision/ Colecovision games from the early 80s. The games look so primitive. Good thing we had vivid imaginations! And the prices we paid for personal computers with 64K of RAM were extortionate. But we did. and, if you're like me, were obsessed with learning the operating system (BASIC) and making the most of what little memory we had.
Anyway, I dug out my 2009 issues and found the Revomaze article. I'll attach a scanned file for your enjoyment. I'm curious, is the fan letter in the article from one of our forum members?
I'd love to hear from other Games magazine collectors. Surely I'm not the only one?

What the heck, that is a very old e-mail (f-mail?) of mine. I did not know it was distributed like this.
Thanks for sharing this article, it brings back memories of good old times...

YOU'RE the infamous 'Louis from the Netherlands?' Can you f-mail me an autograph?
I'm surprised they printed this without telling/asking you. Nonetheless, I enjoyed reading your letter and I've felt the same array of emotions playing with these puzzles.

I'm a GAMES Magazine subscriber. I will admit that article led me to RevoMaze.

Hi bulldawg,
That article was also my intro to revomazes. I couldn't afford the puzzles back then, but I remembered them from that article and got my first one last year.
How long have you been reading Games?

I have been a subscriber for about 20 years.
At the time the Revo article came out, I felt the metal prices were too high to make the initial plunge, but I dived in when Chris released the plastics. Now, I am regretting that decision (skipping the metals) since the current prices for the metals have practically doubled.
