How about a Black extreme V2 ?

Just thinking that if the Black is in production as a plastic, then wouldn't it be easy to run off some V2 Black Extremes, with the new outer sleeve design ?

Would they be different enough from the SE ones ( V1 ) to keep the collectors who have bought the SE Black happy ?

I know I'd buy one, and I'm sure others would too.

Id be all over this if they made it but I think the Black was meant to be a limited run so its not likely which makes me sad!

Yes, but the black maze is available in plastic so why not in the new metal design as well ?

Then a whole new bunch of buyers could have the start of an interesting V2 set, starting with Blue, Bronze, Black and Lime and so on.....

The thing is that black is tooled up already for the plastics ( or soon to be ? )...

How about it Revomaster ?

The Black isn't in production at the moment (to my knowledge) as the old design was produced by the old engineers, therefore Chris can't make them at the new engineers. The v2 Black is a new design, I don't know if any elements of the design will be taken from the original or not, either way I don't think it'll be made as an extreme.

About a month ago, I ordered a black obsession V2? with
the removable core. Is there any update on these critters?

There are a million different colours in the world, why stick to black? If it's going to be a different design then it's only going to cause confusion between the the two.

Yeah, or at least a different shade of black, maybe charcoal. ;)

Vincent van Gogh once remarked that Dutch artist, Franz Hals (1580-1666), painted in 'no less than 27 different blacks'.

So there's room for lots of designs there. That should keep Revomaster busy for a while...

Think about it from the perspective of someone new to Revomaze. Two puzzles, both metal and both black, but only one of them would be widely available and for some reason the other one costs 5(ish) times as much. Yes the more experienced Revoer (Revoee?) will understand this, but as I see it this isn't really practical.

Technically there could be a black for every series that is released. You could have a shelf full of puzzles that look exactly the same but are totally different. But why not just have new and exciting colours and save the confusion?
