Mine must have had the V1 shaft as when i opened it it had the removable centre draw/bar in the middle of the shaft and a certificate.

Can I ask, whats going on with this V1 core in a V2 sleeve. Surely you guys paid for a V1/V2. Surely you have a right to a complete one.

Edit: On that though, I would love a hybrid. It seems so unique (Probs not)

the obsessions have at least 3 pieces of metal so they technically are hybrids.

I would not count that. The revo would not be the same if it was all plastic. Also cost are kept down if they all use the same pins etc.

it is my understanding that the obsessions use different pins to the extremes (the obsession pins are wider at the top than the bottom, and the extreme pins have a uniform with) this is why the pins in the obsessions cannot be removed from the sleeve but the pins the the extremes can.

Good idea really as you would not want to lose the pin.

There is no problem posting pictures of the metal parts. Just not the maze. ;)

In the related 'open' forums you can post anything you want about that specific puzzle.
Note: taking the core and/or pin out of a V1 obsession is a 'do not try this at home' thing.

Please note that I have not taken my v1 apart. I have a blue prototype that had a pin issue which allowed the shaft to be removed. all production obsessions had this issue fixed.
