"Over promise and under delivery"

Ain't that the truth. I worked where they did that and the customers were madder than wet hens! Ask any salesperson or marketing person and they'll tell you the key to success is under promise and over deliver. Easy to say, hard to do.

Thanks, I completely forgot about the lottery tickets in the Red Extremes and wasn't into the Obsessions early on so I didn't really know much about the prizes that were supposed to happen. I'll add both.

I might be wrong but I think the obsession prize or contest was nebulous at best. It's still something that never happened. Now obsessions no longer have certificates inside. Neither do the V2 extremes.

I bought my Red much later when a few became available through Puzzlemaster. There was no lottery ticket hidden inside mine. Not really a big surprise since a long time had passed before the last few were sold.

For a trip down memory lane take a look the the video on the Revomaze website called unboxing the Silver RevoMaze. He, likely one of us, talks about many of the things Stet mentions in the opening post.

Thank you for all your comments. We take all comments by customers and forum members extremely seriously and I hope to address some the points raised in this thread.

Firstly, the Collector Sets continue to be our top priority and we are working as hard as we possibly can to fulfil those orders. Anyone with an outstanding Collector Set order is more than welcome to contact me directly via email; joseph.nixon@revomaze.co.uk to discuss any concerns.

The history of problems Revomaze has incurred is well documented but since I have been associated with Revomaze we have made changes to insure we can continue to produce puzzles and fulfil orders in an effective and timely manner. The last four years have taken a great personal and financial toll on Chris and we have unfortunately had to make changes to ensure the survival of Revomaze; such as the planned competitions and prizes, additional Obsession puzzles etc. But we may come back to these in the future, should we be in a financial position to do so.

I would also like to reiterate the point that Revomaze is an extremely small, independent company and although we do ship puzzles worldwide the operation is ran from the garage of the Pitt family home.

Since its creation Revomaze has lost two major engineering firms and suppliers for stands and packaging and we have therefore had to make changes and we have had delays and for this I would like to apologise. However with these lessons learned we are moving onto R2 with confirmed suppliers for packaging, material and plating / anodising and we will be doing all machining ourselves.

I would like to reiterate that Chris continues to focus on the Collector Sets whilst I take the lead on setting up the R2. I can also confirm we will be producing stands in the future and our new packaging supplier will be supplying us with single Revomaze cases which will replace the current white cardboard packaging and these will be sent to original Revomaze Handmade owners as promised, in due course. Please see the images in coming soon for more details.

Should anyone like to discuss anything further please feel free to contact either myself or Chris directly. Thank you for reading my post and for you continued patience and support.

I am a very late comer to this group, so I missed most of the problems. But there is one thing where I don't agree with stet: I personally am glad they made V2 Extremes. I don't have a preference either way with respect to the looks, and the V2 can be made (and thus sold) much cheaper. I have a V1 silver and an orange, only because they're only available as V1 - my other mazes are V2, and I saved quite some money that way... ;)

And until now, I've had no problems in getting replies from Joseph! :)

That's the same address I've used in the past. It was working 2 days ago when he replied to a question I sent him the day before.
