Solving Revomazes equated to Baseball...

I thought the leaderboards contained 200 for each revomaze and 1000 in total for all of them.

Far less than that. In each region (London or Las Vegas) there are 40 places for Blue, 35 for Green, 25 for Bronze, 15 for Silver, and 5 for Gold. Those are just the competion places. There are also 40 additional places for each puzzle which can act as backups for the competition places. Just take a look at the leaderboards and see for yourself.

ive seen a video of someone doing blue within 1 minute. im sure the top 12 can easily do a blue within 1.5 hours.

No one is going to be able to open a puzzle (ie purple) from scratch in a minute sight unseen. Granted the top revo-masters will have the knowledge of all the models in theirs heads but it still takes time to figure out even the simpliest of mazes. Only 90 minutes, under pressure, will be a true test. It will be a click-fest to say the least.
