Zero responses in a week!
Can those of you who are interested/willing to help please add a post so we know how many people are keen to do this? If there is minimal interest we will have to work on this ourselves.
I know smiteo (Derek) is working on a design but he is the only one so far!
Come on guys, this is your chance to have all RevoMazes sitting on a stand of your own design!
Would a bigger prize help stir the creative juices?

Mike (MJShasko) is currenty researching acrylic options. I've designs on paper that would work in wood ... but a clearer option would be better.

Re: RevoMaze Stand Competition
I have four designs and just need to get some costings to see if there is a viable solution.
I am surprised there has been little response but perhaps everybody is just being a bit 'cloak and dagger' treating it a bit like the Orange design.
We must come up with a design and let maze production keep moving forward.

Re: RevoMaze Stand Competition
Despite having no experience with the manufacturing side of things, I do have an idea which I will attempt to bring to a full submission.

Re: RevoMaze Stand Competition
Small, simple, classy. We dont want some big behemoth stands. They need to present the puzzle, not be the focus
Maybe a simple stone base, with a couple of acrylic uprights. Revo floating above a stone base, excellent.

Re: RevoMaze Stand Competition
I don't have time to participate in this myself. But I can tell you that I would prefer a smaller stand, something to just hold the puzzles to keep them from rolling around. They must be something which I can use in my puzzle display cabinets. I am currently using the wood stands and am pretty happy with them but I feel that they could be a bit smaller. After all it is the puzzle that is on display, not the stand holding it.
Needs to be updated!

Re: RevoMaze Stand Competition
So I have a couple of rather different ideas that I've been playing with, and I'd like some forum input before I go ahead and start looking into whether production is possible ..... I don't think that's against the rules.
So I have 2 stands that I'm playing with. I'll post pics of them below. What I am interested in is do you like the stands, and if you do, how much do you think you'd pay for one? (i.e. if it costs to much to make then there's no point!)
The first is a simple one piece stand, with many material choices which could be made. The revo simply sticks in the hole.
The second is a two piece stand that works like book ends for the revo. It has the advantage that a slide in the bottom allows for a screw to be inserted, allowing wall hanging of the puzzle. The final would have the Revomaze logo etched into the size.
Both stands work for open and closed mazes as you can see from the pics.
So I open it to the forum ... all thoughts welcomed.
P.S. These are mockups and not on the quality of Mark76's work ... if I get good response I'll make clean versions that look much sharper.

Re: RevoMaze Stand Competition
The second looks a bit too big and bulky to me.
The first is cute in a wine bottle sort of way. It actually takes a specific angle of leverage to make those stands work in relationship to the weight of the object. Your goal is to balance the center of gravity.
I probably will not be getting any stands and even if I did I wouldn't pay more than $5-15 for one.
