Weekly Update #6 - 7/8/26

https://www.thepuzzleworkshop.uk/post/w ... ugust-2026
Thank you for your continued patience, loyalty, and support.
Here is the latest update from the workshop, covering production progress and current developments.

VAULTMAZE and Other Projects

There are no changes to report this week.
Design and production planning are ongoing, and we’ll share further updates as soon as progress is made.

Next week, our brass bar order will arrive. This will cover the next 40 brass maze cores.
Expect to see more brass mazes leaving soon!

Leaving the Workshop

This week, we have sent out:
  • 1 Aqua Lite in aluminium
  • 4 Blue Lites in aluminium
  • 5 Green Lites in aluminium
  • 3 Grey Lites in aluminium
  • 4 Purple Lites in aluminium
  • 1 Red Lite in aluminium
  • 1 Red Lite in brass
  • 1 Bronze Lite in aluminium
  • 4 Tool Kits
  • 1 1.5 mm hex screwdriver

Customs Information Improvements

This week, Rachel has reviewed the shipping and customs information included on the customs forms and researched the best way to handle international orders.

This has included narrowing down the customs codes for the REVOMAZE puzzle family and checking and updating the descriptions to allow for a smoother transition through customs.

We believe this has already had an impact, as international orders that left HQ last week have made their way through the customs departments of several countries without issue.

International shipping is still reduced for a little while longer while we double-check that everything is progressing as it should be, but it’s looking good from our side.

General Update

While the machine was cutting cores this week, Chris has been production planning for the coming weeks.

Chris has all the material required for next week’s machining and is planning to visit the anodisers to collect the latest batch of sleeves.

This batch includes the sleeves for the Limited Edition Set of four mazes. Provided they are all defect-free, we’ll be able to send out Batch 1, followed shortly by Batch 2.

This means Chris will be away for two days, but the workshop will be left in Charlie’s capable hands.

Work on Gold continues. Chris and Charlie are adding the final touches and conducting internal testing before the first cores are sent to our testers for review.

Our Commitment

We remain committed to transparency, quality, patience, community, and progress.

We’ll keep sharing honest updates, maintaining our standards, giving every puzzle the time and care it deserves, supporting our community, and building something special together.

Thank You

Thank you for being part of the REVOMAZE journey.

The best is ahead.

Weekly Update #7 - 14/8/26

Thank you for your continued patience, loyalty, and support.

Here is the latest update from the workshop on production progress and current developments.

VAULTMAZE & Other Projects

This week, Charlie has continued the design work on the remaining VAULTMAZE rings.

There are no changes to report on repairs this week.

The brass bar ordered to fulfil the next 40 brass mazes arrived on Monday, along with our replacement 1.5 mm cutter.

Leaving the Workshop

Mazes will still be shipped this week, with orders due to leave the workshop on Saturday.
Due to staff availability, mazes are currently being picked, assembled, and packed, so there isn’t a final shipping list to share just yet.

We’ll provide a supplementary update on Monday with details of what has left the workshop.

Small Updates

This week contains a variety of smaller updates behind the scenes at HQ.

Chris has made the decision to consolidate all REVOMAZE items in one place. Rather than using an off-site storage unit and making journeys to collect and drop off items, everything will soon be stored at HQ for greater convenience.

The order of operations for machining Lites has also changed slightly.

Diamond cutting is now being completed before the cuts for the O-rings, allowing for a higher degree of accuracy. Previously, the cuts were found to be slightly out of specification, so this change should help improve consistency.

Workshop Update

This week has seen a small but much-needed improvement to the workshop.

Due to the extreme heat currently affecting the area, temperatures inside the workshop had reached around 34°C (93.2°F).

At these temperatures, the compressor was close to shutting down, which would have caused downtime in machining.
To prevent this and improve ventilation and cooling, Chris has installed a larger fan in the workshop door.
This has already made a significant difference, bringing the workshop temperature down to around 25°C (77°F).

Chris and Charlie have also discovered that they can program the machine using a separate device. This means they can work from a cooler environment while allowing the machine to continue operating uninterrupted.

Our Commitment

We remain committed to transparency, quality, patience, community, and progress.

We’ll keep sharing honest, regular updates, never compromise on craftsmanship, give every puzzle the time and care it deserves, put our community at the heart of what we do, and continue building something special together.

Thank You

Thank you for being part of the REVOMAZE journey.

The best is ahead.

VAULTMAZE & Other Projects

VAULTMAZE has its own update this week, which you can read below.

There are no changes to report on repairs this week.

We’d also love to hear from you. What else would you like to see included in our weekly updates? We’re always open to suggestions.

Leaving the Workshop

This week, we have sent out:
  • 1 Aqua Lite in aluminium
  • 1 Blue Lite in aluminium
  • 2 Sapphire Lites in aluminium
  • 1 Green Lite in aluminium
  • 1 Emerald Lite in aluminium
  • 4 Grey Lites in aluminium
  • 1 Titanium Lite in aluminium
  • 3 Purple Lites in aluminium
  • 2 Red Lites in aluminium
  • 1 Bronze Lite in aluminium
  • 1 Silver Lite in aluminium
  • 1 Gold Lite in aluminium
VAULTMAZE

This week brings good news for everyone waiting to hear about the VAULTMAZE project.

As of today, all of the designs for VAULTMAZE are complete, marking an important milestone for the project. The next step is to verify the mazes before machining of the rings can begin.

There has been a pause on this project, so it’s essential that we approach this stage carefully and methodically to ensure there are no further errors before moving onto machining. Taking the time to check everything thoroughly now will help ensure the next stage can progress as smoothly as possible.

Once the verification stage is complete, we’ll be able to move forward with the machining process. We look forward to bringing you more news as the project progresses.

Workshop Update

This week has consisted largely of arranging orders and keeping production moving, with the shipping of the Golds being a major development for us at HQ.

There have been two postal events this week, one on Monday, which was delayed from last week, and one today. Alongside this, Charlie has been running off brass and aluminium cores in the workshop to help complete more orders and keep things progressing.

The workshop has remained focused on getting components produced and ready for the next stages of assembly and fulfilment. With orders continuing to be worked through, the machining of brass and aluminium cores will continue next week as we keep building up stock and preparing further pieces for completion.

Overall, it has been another busy week of production, order preparation, and shipping, with good progress being made across several areas.

Our Commitment

We remain committed to transparency, quality, patience, community, and progress.

We’ll keep sharing honest, regular updates, never compromise on craftsmanship, give every puzzle the time and care it deserves, put our community at the heart of what we do, and continue building something special together.

Workshop status report 30/8/26 - Delayed from 28/8/26

VAULTMAZE & Other Projects

VAULTMAZE has its own update below.

There have been no changes to repairs this week.

Leaving the Workshop

Mazes due to be shipped during the week commencing 17th August will be shipped during the week commencing 31st August.

This is due to staff availability on Friday, as well as the bank holiday weekend in the UK, including 31st August.

VAULTMAZE

During the week beginning 17th August, all of the VAULTMAZE designs were thoroughly inspected in preparation for the next steps of the project. This was to ensure the designs were ready to move forward and that any potential issues could be identified before machining begins.

This coming week, Chris and Charlie are programming the machine to make a template of the VAULTMAZE ring before applying the maze design to each ring. This process will also be repeated for the start and end rings.

Once this is done, providing there are no issues, over the coming weeks we can machine a complete batch of rings for testing and quality assurance. This will allow us to thoroughly check the rings before progressing further with the project.

Anodising & Production Update

Unfortunately, there are currently some delays with the anodisers.

Recently, there has been some major plant downtime due to new installations, heat outages and staffing. The backlog of work, including ours, is taking a significant amount of time.

We have been informed that work is now being processed and we’re currently planning a trip this week to collect any completed sleeves. This will be a full day of travel for Chris; however, day-to-day running of HQ will continue as normal.

Once this journey has been completed, we will report back on what sleeves have been picked up and what’s still to be anodised.

All outstanding orders are scheduled, and machining of the cores will be continued while we wait for the sleeves to arrive, in order to build up stock ready for shipping.

We are working to get all orders out as soon as possible.

Resolutions

We are currently working with some of our customers to find the best solutions to issues they’ve had with regards to delays in receiving their orders or refunds.

We are doing our very best to sort this, while maintaining a restrictive cashflow until we have all orders shipped.

We appreciate our customers’ patience during this difficult time. Thank you.

Thank you for being part of the REVOMAZE journey.

The best is ahead.

VAULTMAZE & Other Projects

VAULTMAZE has its own update below.

There have been no changes to repairs this week.

This week’s shipping selection is smaller due to a lack of sleeves.
We hope to ship more next week.

Leaving the Workshop

This week we have shipped:
  • 1 x Aqua Lite (Alu)
  • 1 x Blue Lite (Alu)
  • 1 x Sapphire Lite (Alu)
  • 2 x Green Lites (Alu)
  • 1 x Emerald Lite (Alu)
  • 1 x Grey Lite (Alu)
  • 1 x Titanium Lite (Alu)
  • 2 x Purple Lites (Alu)
  • 1 x Purple Lite (Br)
  • 2 x Gold Lites (Br)
  • 1 x Ruby V3
  • 1 x Toolkit

VAULTMAZE

This week we have been setting up the machine to allow us to rapidly change the tools needed to cut the VAULTMAZE rings.

We’ve made these modifications due to the sheer amount of time we spent adjusting tools after a changeover. Now, each tool is ready for a changeover that takes seconds rather than minutes. This should provide us with a large increase in efficiency when machining the VAULTMAZE rings.

Originally, the plan this week was to complete the test ring program. However, Charlie has been away, so this will now happen next week.

Workshop Update

We have some excellent news to share. Next week, on Monday, Chris is collecting a large batch of anodised sleeves.

The anodising company had previously suffered a major plant failure and overheating due to the hot summer. These significantly delayed their workflow and contributed to delays on our part.

Next week’s newsletter will include pictures of the newly collected sleeves.

In the meantime, work has continued on core production, and more orders have been shipped.

Next week we will continue to work on assembling and shipping orders.

Thank You

Thank you for being part of the REVOMAZE journey.

The best is ahead.
