From the looks of it, it looks like fun. I would like to point to point out that I am not related to this project in any way.

I could be wrong but it looks like a combination lock/cryptex to me. A very good looking one!

Definitely looks like fun but lack of info about how it actually works kind of puts me of!!

Reminds me of the old days when Revomaze is thought to be a combination lock itself...
The mechanism looks more like a complicated Jerry's REVOlution ball puzzle to me.

Quoted from the Kickstarter site (FAQs at the bottom):
The sanity is very do-able and it does not use a combination lock to release the key. The sanity may vaguely resemble the cryptex in style and looks but it operates complexly different. You must use your logic and memory (and if your memory isn't the best, a pen and paper) to complete this challenge.
Yeah, I think it looks nice, and pretty tough. Not sure how it could work as it's not combination based but there are 2 trillion different combinations?!?!
But yeah I don't think it'll reach 100K in a month, unfortunately.

I dont think it will raise that amount either...
Saying that, it has gone up by about £500 in the last few hours. So its certainly achievable.
Its similar to buying the voyager status isnt it really. Its a gamble... will it pay off? Who knows
Would you get the money back if he failed to meet the target? Not sure if it said that anywhere or not

If you read the kickstarter description you credit card is only charged after the goal has been achieved, the funding is all or nothing, if the goal is reached all the pledges are charged otherwise they get zip!
But the goal is definitely very ambitious for a small community, as not many people are willing to pay £150 for a puzzle (let a lone a puzzle that they dont know how it works) plus tbh the rewards dont sound all that good if you pledge £94 + you get to buy a one of the puzzles as at a discounted price but we're not even told what that discount will be!
