Beautiful!

If they made it out of machined aluminium rather than polished silver I think it could be pretty affordable. But it's still only appealing to a pretty niche market (ie. us).

My favorite part of the original cube is the serial number. Do they really expect to sell enough to utilize all four digits!?

Where they list the price, they state that it IS all aluminum...so almost $11k for an aluminum puzzle? Really?

I think that it's a six-piece cube. Five of those pieces are only puzzle pieces and are made from polished silver. The other piece contains the USB and is made from aluminium.

Either way it's a ridiculous price for what it is! That's even more than most of GarE Maxton's creations!!!

GarE's stuff actually uses metals with some value (sometimes), no less. I had to read the website that the article linked to (because the wording is questionable), but in that it states that they produce the puzzle from a solid block of aluminum...making this even LESS worth what they want for it. (Their stated reasons for the existance of this thing also come off at pretensious, but that's a different issue all together).

I would love to see GarE create a puzzle with a USB in the center, be interesting to see his price :)
