Well since everyone else has pointed to their blogs, I figure I should do the same. I've just completed a series of reviews on the Series I Revomaze puzzles which is clearly relevant here.
I welcome any feedback so feel free to get in touch.

Re: Neil's Puzzle Blog
It's not the reading of them all that's the problem, it's the extra money spent by being introduced to new puzzles!

Re: Neil's Puzzle Blog
Just thought I'd let people know of a few updates to my blog. The biggest of which is the review of the California Puzzle party hosted by Stan Isaacs yesterday. A huge thanks goes out to Stan for opening his house, and collection to all.

I also have reviews of the Deja Vu dovetail box and Free the Key from Puzzlemaster

Not to forget my review of MMMM's designed by Hirokazu Iwasawa and made by Brian Menold over at Wood Wonders.

Lots of new stuff up there, and I have much more on the way soon, as you'll see from the Puzzle party post!

Looks like you had a superb day at the puzzle party!
That photo of Marcel Gillans chess pieces is a rare one and so glad you shared it.
You won't forget that day!

Re: Neil's Puzzle Blog
It was a great day at the puzzle party, and I came away with more puzzles than I turned up with, even if the Stickman was a casualty.
The latest part of my own learning experience in building my own puzzles is now posted for anyone who's interested. The Matrioshka build, part two.
Interestingly, since I now have my copy of the Matrioshka from Vinco, the puzzle I'm building will fit around the Matrioshka, so I'm considering renaming it to a Quadrioshka.

Yup. RIP Stickman #2.maztec wrote:Stickman was a casualty?
Ok, so I'm talking with Robert about it, and it's on its way back to him currently to find out what happened. As fas as I can tell, no-one did anything destructive at the party, so this is in no way blaming anyone for breaking the puzzle. Something happened internally, it now doesn't work like it used to, or like its supposed to, and there is no way to open it.
I'll update once Robert has received it and lets me know what's gone wrong. But I believe Stickman #2 is going to be cooked in the oven.

I assume you're referring to a microwave here (I'm sure I read somewhere about using a microwave to unglue wood glue)?... to un-glue the joints so it can be opened and repaired?TheJuggler wrote:...But I believe Stickman #2 is going to be cooked in the oven.
We all know that Robert is a bit of a wizard wizard when it comes to wooden mechanical puzzles, so hopefully he can use his magic on your box
