If you don't get on with the V-Cube 2x2x2 then I really recommend the Illusion series. Despite how they look they are much easier than even a 2x2x2. Plus they look awesome and turn perfectly as well.

Now all you have to do it just think !

I reckon he used a very old method of creating a vacuum in the bottle to get the tennis ball in.
I will give you a clue ....

If you light a fire .. what gets sucked out of the atmosphere ?

God only knows how you get a golf ball in !

Someone give me a clue ... !

Nice pick-up.

I know this method, and I don't reckon that he used it for the tennis ball. Keep in mind what the entire outer surface of the ball is covered in.

...aren't there two holes in that tennis ball for the rope to pass through? Getting the ball in in that state is not a huge challenge - getting the rope through it and tying it in a monkey fist (?) knot, probably is though...

Perhaps I'm just being REALLY thick... :?:

The fuzz could be protected by something say a latex or silicone coating ?
Then once in the protection removed .... then holes drilled ... then knot tied ... that's the way I think it could be done ...
Maybe ?

Tbh id say the holes were drilled 1st and the knot tied on then, the tennis ball was probably collasped in on itself to allow it to pass through the bottle neck and then it retakes its shape once the collapsing force is removed

From the photo you can't even see if the rope goes through the ball ... Oli ?
Better pictures please so forensics can have a popper think.

BTW .. how much did you pick it up for ? (if you don't mind telling)

Due to financial need I am looking to sell a few puzzles for a quick cash injection.

Now would be a great time to approach me with offers for any puzzles that you might desire from my collection, and all offers will be seriously considered.

However there are some that I will refuse to part with, I am still a metagrobologist after all. ;)
