Re: Hanayama Cast Puzzles
I received my first thre eHanayama's for Christmas. vc DOUBLE H, Antlers, and Cylinder. Antlers took me a long time to solve, that last little bit just kept eluding me. Double H was straight forward, but I found one way to do it that is always easy and a second way that requires a very minor amount of force as in it slides off and feels like it is supposed to but if it is not set perfectly it requires a little extra shove.. and Cylinder was too easy, but fun.
OOOOOOOoo
Re: Hanayama Cast Puzzles
Nice, I'm still thinking of picking up the Cylinder.

Re: Hanayama Cast Puzzles
Ive been playing with my cast Equa recently and when it is assembled to inner rings do not move very well and seem to jam. I understand there are 2 pins at opposite ends to prevent it rotating fully, but should it rotate freely within this area that the pins can move as mine does not. Its seems very stiff. I cant remember if this was always the case

Mine is also very stiff, but solvable.

Re: Hanayama Cast Puzzles
Yes mine is too. I just remember it moving loosely inside last time I used it. Maybe I was wrong

Re: Hanayama Cast Puzzles
Thanks Lucie. Looks like the new Hanayama might be a variation on trick bolts.

Re: Hanayama Cast Puzzles
I've found the U&U in a toy-shop, and just couldn't wait till I was back home, I stopped in the park, opened the box and started to play with it, I have found the first step (I think), but did not manage to take it apart yet.
