Can you be a "little" more specific? Did you drop it, throw it, over torque it, bend it, let little children play with it?

Nope nothing untoward has happened to it, it's just gotten jammed. (it's something from the machining process that's jammed it)

That doesn't sound too useful. Does this mean that it's possible for an unopened puzzle to get jammed before you open it, or it it only likely after its been opened?

I have a number of theories as to what's going on, however so far none of them have led me to an open puzzle. Lots of Rule 11 in play though :(

Of course! If everyone else is as broke as we are then it negates the severity of our brokeness. :D

If the world economy collapses and the new form of currency becomes puzzles then we're pretty much sorted though. So that's a plus.
