Space Invaders Puzzle

Post by Daveeeboy »

Hi Guys,

I have been working away on my own little puzzle called: Space Invaders

It is a packing puzzle with 7 pieces (4 different shapes).

The idea is that you pack all the Space Invaders into the planet (tray)

The Space Invaders are coloured white and the planet is black the idea behind this was to give a retro feel.

I also had the parts kiss-cut by the laser to give a pixel effect this also helps establish their sizes etc...

If you do not like the pixel effect you can turn the invaders over and they are plain.

The Invaders and planet are made from 5mm laser cut acrylic.

Hope you like it guys and girls, here are a couple of photographs:

Very cool. I'm not that into packing puzzles but I like the design.

Thanks guys and girls.

I was not planning to sell them to be honest, I just fancied making my own puzzle :)

Very nice!! A nice partner for Chris Enright's Pack-Man puzzle.

I think you should look into selling them (maybe as a limited run), because I too would like one ;)

That doesn't sound like a statement from someone unwilling to make a few for sale =D

It sounds like a sales pitch =)

Waauw, nice theme and great to see another puzzle design pop up!
... But it looks like they won't fit in the planet all the same time...
Please make it available at MPP11 ?

Hehe they do....they actually fit in 3 very different formations....I have now made some amendments so they can only fit in 1 formation 8-)

I will post how long people take to solve it, once I have got a few friends to try it.
