If they are that small the walls may be super delicate and the machine would need a much smaller and accurate drill bit. Also the pins would need to be strong enough to not warp from the force because a smaller puzzle at the same size maze means smaller paths which means smaller pins.

Not to mention smaller springs ... and those things can't be manufactured in house, and are incredibly expensive, unless buying in significant bulk.

The comment on drill bit size and accuracy is very true though. As you scale down there's less room for error, and in fact the cost of a machine will increase, not decrease.

Makes me think that this may be an example of less is more. Hopefully we'll have more info about the mini in the near future.

To be brutally honest, I actually hope not. Revomaze has a number of outstanding commitments that it needs to deliver on before considering yet more new projects.

I agree. I meant soon in a relative sort of way.

About spring/pin size....
Nobody says a mini revo has to be a perfect downscale thing, it may be less complex.

We dont know anything about the maze design yet. Allard has seen a tiny Revomaze made by Chris which is a fully functioning blue design. As for the pin, Mark found a way to make a 1.5 mm wide pin work with a 3mm spring. If this is a 3/10 scale maze, the pin width will probably be 1mm or less in diameter.

Just speculation until they tell us more.
